I remain steadfast in my commitment to serving S’poreans & Party: Ng Chee Meng

Comrade Ng Chee Meng has promised to continue serving S’poreans and contributing to the Party.

In his Facebook post after the announcement of the appointment of the three new Branch Chairs of Sengkang GRC on Mar 27, 2022, the labour chief also thanked the friends and residents in Pasir Ris-Punggol and Sengkang.

He wrote: “The kampong spirit and acts of kindness from many Singaporeans have warmed my heart and inspire me to commit to public service.”

He also wrote of his confidence that the new Branch Chairs: Ms Theodora Lai Xi Yi (Sengkang North), Assoc Prof Elmie Nekmat (Sengkang Central), and Mr Ling Weihong (Sengkang East) will do their best for residents.

He will support them in his new role as Advisor to the PAP Sengkang GRC team. Dr Lam Pin Min, Branch Chair of Sengkang West, will lead the PAP Sengkang GRC team.

“The last 7 years in Pasir Ris Punggol and Sengkang, on top of the SAF years, has been an important part of my mission to serve. I am grateful to the many friends and residents who have worked alongside me and am proud of what has been achieved together. The kampong spirit and acts of kindness from many Singaporeans have warmed my heart and inspire me to commit to public service. Much of what I do would not be possible without the support of colleagues on the ground; and in an effort to groom and develop younger comrades, I am happy to share that Elmie Nekmat, Theodora Lai and Ling Weihong will be stepping up to serve PAP Sengkang Community as chairpersons of Sengkang Central, Sengkang North and Sengkang East Branches respectively under the leadership of Dr Lam Pin Min（蓝彬明）. I know them well, and I will support them in my new role as Advisor. I am confident that they will do their best for residents. I remain steadfast in my commitment to serving Singaporeans and will continue to contribute to the Party where needed.”
