Some might say that the Maintenance of Parents Act is only relevant to a small population segment and is losing its relevance. But with the latest round of amendments suggested by Marine Parade MP Seah Kian Peng and his workgroup, it is clear that the MPA is needed now more than ever as we continue to build a caring and family-centric society.
