Good guy FairPrice announces price freeze & 50% discount to fight cost of living

FairPrice, a household name under the National Trades Union Congress’ (NTUC) ambit of various social enterprises, launched a new campaign to address concerns over the rising cost of living.

Called Greater Value Every Day, the campaign consists of four main discount and value schemes: namely, Everyday Low Price, Price Drop Buy Now, Save Even More and New & Exclusive.

Freezing the prices of 50 popular essential items

For Everyday Low Price, the supermarket selects a basket of more than 500 popular essential items that are priced low.

And every month it will freeze the prices of 50 such items, which include fresh fruits, vegetables and meat, staples and more.

The list will be announced every last Thursday of the month through its various communications channels such as its website.

Throwing in discounts of up to 50 per cent off

Under Price Drop Buy Now, there will be weekly discounts on items that will go as high as 50 per cent off.

Items under this scheme will be renewed weekly and announced every Thursday of the week.

Helping groups of Singaporeans

The Save Even More scheme will see groups such as the Pioneer and Merdeka Generations, elderly, CHAS Blue card holders enjoying the existing discount schemes from Monday to Friday.

NTUC union and Link members will also periodically enjoy discounts of 50 percent for specially selected items.

And last but not least, the New & Exclusive scheme refers to a range of specially curated products that are exclusive to FairPrice and offer good value, including Gift-With-Purchase offers.
