Much work lies ahead for PAP: DPM Wong’s message to Party members
November 26, 2022
The appointments of the Party’s 37th Central Executive Committee (CEC) were announced earlier today (Nov 26).
Here’s a snapshot of the elected the office holders:
The CEC also also made the following appointments, with Deputy Lawrence Wong as Headquarters Executive Committee Chairman and Education Minister Chan Chun Sing as Vice Chairman.
Mr Alex Yam, Minister of State Desmond Tan and Senior Minister of State Tan Kiat How are appointed Assistant Organising Secretaries.
‘Much work lies ahead’
DPM Lawrence Wong, as Deputy Secretary-General, took to Facebook to rally Party members shortly after the announcement, urging all comrades and partners to serve fellow Singaporeans as best as they could.
“Much work lies ahead for all of us in the PAP team as we strive to do well, not just in government but also in politics. Look forward to walking this journey together with our comrades and partners – to serve our fellow Singaporeans to the best of our abilities, and to build an ever more fair, ever more just, ever brighter Singapore for many more years to come,” he said.
The message also reiterated DPM’s vision of an ever more fair, ever more just, ever brighter Singapore — something the 4G team is working hard at with the Forward Singapore exercise.
Comrades, the Party’s work is never done.
Let’s continue to do the right thing for Singapore even when it is difficult to do so.
Let’s fight even harder to win the political battle for Singapore.
Let’s look forward, as DPM Wong said, to walking this journey together as one PAP.
