Budget 2023 on Feb 14; share your views online

Mark February 14, 2023 down on your calendar.

That’s when Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong will deliver the nation’s Budget for 2023.

“The Budget is a strategic financial plan to build our future Singapore together. Let’s continue to build the Singapore we envision together,” announced the Ministry of Finance today (Dec 29).

In other words, the Budget matters.

It’s how the Government plans its revenue and spending each year. It’s about how Singapore’s finite resources are allocated so that new opportunities get explored and we remain One Singapore.

As usual, there will be television and radio coverage of the Budget Statement, as well as a live webcast on the Singapore Budget website (www.singaporebudget.gov.sg).

The full Budget Statement will be also published on the Singapore Budget website after delivery.

Real-time updates of key Budget announcements will be posted on the Ministry of Finance’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/MOFsg) and Twitter account (www.twitter.com/MOFsg) during the delivery.

Your views are wanted

Your views on the Budget are wanted too, during this lead-up.

There’s an ongoing open invitation for you to do so until Friday, 13 Jan 2023.

So, there is just over a fortnight left to partner the PAP Government in sharing your vision for our country and our fellow citizens.

Here’s where you can submit your views:

REACH Budget 2023 Microsite;

REACH Singapore Facebook;

Do think about important issues that Singapore is facing while you do so.

Briefly, think about how we can navigate a volatile and complex world and strengthen our social compact (that’s how we all relate to each other). Also, do think about how we can build a resilient nation.

Views addressing these three themes will help shape the Budget, and they’ll help build a better Singapore while we go forward.
