Our PAP candidates have hit the ground running, early on the second day of the 2025 General Elections.
We are committed to keeping Singapore’s future secure in a changed world. Here is what candidates like Minister for Manpower Tan See Leng and Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong have been up to since Nomination Day yesterday (23 Apr)!

Minister Tan was right at home around Chua Chu Kang GRC. At Lot 1 and nearby coffeeshops, he shook hands with smiling residents and diners, and shared his team’s plans for Chua Chu Kang.
The next morning, his Chua Chu Kang teammate, new face Dr Choo Pei Ling, was at Tengah early.
She distributed flyers and spent quality time chatting with the residents of this new town. “Energised after a great morning at Tengah Plantation Plaza meeting residents!” she posted to Facebook (24 Apr). “Thank you for the warm words, thoughtful feedback, and meaningful conversations.”

DPM Gan and his team started their people-first campaign between Punggol Coast MRT and Waterway Point the evening of Nomination Day.
They engaged residents, saying hello and explaining their plans for Punggol — or as team member Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information and for Health Janil Puthucheary might say, “our PungGOALS.”
The next morning, DPM Gan and the Punggol team were up bright and early at the Punggol Bus Interchange and the Punggol MRT.
Apart from greeting residents and commuters, DPM Gan also had earnest breakfast chats at the Block 198 GM Food Centre with residents about changes and plans for the town.
Sengkang: Bernadette Giam can do a lot more for Sengkang!
Ms Bernadette Giam swung in action at nearby Sengkang. She was spotted at the Sengkang MRT and a neighbourhood kopitiam, meeting with and listening to Sengkang residents.
In an exclusive interview with Petir, Ms Gian shared her thoughts about kicking off her Sengkang campaign, and interacting with so many residents.
“Every conversation we have is important — every resident we reach, every vote we earn, brings us closer to building a better Sengkang together,” she said. “And we are stoked for each one of these interactions. Because we have the conviction that there is a lot more that can be done in Sengkang!”
Jurong East-Bukit Batok: Murali Pillai raises funds to feed low-income families

Over in Jurong East-Bukit Batok GRC, MOS for Law and for Transport Murali Pillai walked his Bukit Batok ward soon after filing his nomination papers.
By 5.45pm, MOS Murali was already at the nasi padang stall at the Block 155 coffeeshop, sharing how the Bukit Batok food and grocery voucher system has helped low-income families get meals since 2012. This support will increase — together with Bukit Batok’s supporters and businesses, MOS Murali raises about $40,000 monthly to fund the programme, and plans to raise even more in the coming years.
MOS Murali started Day 2 early as well, greeting parents sending their children to school and seniors exercising at the vibrant Fuji Hill park he helped redevelop.
“Having a pit stop now at Blk 207 coffeeshop,” he posted during breakfast with his volunteer team. “Hope to see more JEBB residents soon!”
And soon, MOS Murali was off again. Like all our other PAP GE2025 candidates, he is walking the ward and making his election pitch to residents — securing the trust and mandate of Singaporeans so that we can secure our future.
