THANK YOU, Singapore, for believing in the PAP and our shared vision for a stronger Singapore! You braved the heavy rain and scorching sun to cast your votes. This is a mark of your trust which we take seriously. There is a larger global storm out there, and it remains our responsibility to steer Singaporeans through it.
PAP MPs and candidates were out, bright and early on Sunday morning (4 May) to thank voters for their mandate. Here is what some of these walkabouts look like.

Holland-Bukit Timah GRC MPs Edward Chia, Sim Ann, Christopher de Souza and Minister for Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrishan shot a team video for TikTok soon after learning of the extraordinary mandate that their residents had entrusted them with.
“We are very grateful, and we also know that this mandate reflects your serious concern about the world situation,” said MP Sim. “We shall do our utmost to safeguard Singaporeans’ present and future in this troubled world.
In neighbouring Bukit Panjang SMC, MP Liang Eng Hwa shared his thanks for the voters who carried him to a strong vote share increase of 61.41%
“With your support, I will work even harder to serve our community and make Bukit Panjang an even better place to call home — a vibrant, united, and caring town,” said MP Liang in a video recorded at his branch.
“Together, let’s continue building a stronger Bukit Panjang for all.”

“This victory belongs to all of us. Over the last 5 years and throughout the campaign, I was inspired by your voices, your stories and your hopes for the future,” said Mr Tan to his residents. Mr Tan is also Senior Minister of State for National Development.
“I am committed to listen to you and work with you to take concrete action to get things done,” he added.
“Humbled and grateful beyond words,” posted MP Dinesh. “Let’s make East Side, the Best Side together!”

Task Force Man himself, Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong was at Waterway Point with his fellow Punggol MPs early in the morning – the exact same way he had a swift start back on Day 2 of election season.
“We are here to greet our residents, and also to thank them for their support over the last 10 days,” said DPM Gan in a Facebook video. “We look forward to working with you over the next five years to build a better Punggol! Do come down and see us around here, we’ll be very happy to meet you.”
“Happy to meet and thank residents for their support. We will be going around a few coffeeshops and be at One Punggol in the evening,” posted MP Sun Xueling later on Sunday. “Thank you again and you have our commitment we will do our best for you.”
Like many other PAP MPs, DPM Gan will be starting his Punggol Meet-the-People sessions this Monday (5 May)
Like we said at the start, in a changed world – our PAP leaders will do all they can to help Singaporeans get through the storm.
